He has particular expertise in prosecuting and defending labor and employment disputes, including actions based on wrongful termination, "whistleblower" claims, retaliation, discrimination, sexual harassment, wage & hour and unfair competition.
Mr Teuton has also litigated class actions, including the defense of a class action against Ford Motor Company and the prosecution of class actions against multiple Fortune 500 corporations. Mr. Teuton also represents clients in business disputes and Qui Tam actions.
Background and Qualifications
Mr. Teuton graduated cum laude and order of the coif from Loyola Law School in 1996. At Loyola, Mr. Teuton was a Sayre Macneil Scholar (top 5% of class), Chief Justice of the Scott Moot Court Honors Board and a member of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society. Mr. Teuton is also a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Honor Society.
Upon graduating from Loyola in 1996, Mr. Teuton accepted an associate position at the Newport Beach office of O'Melveny & Myers LLP. At O'Melveny, Mr. Teuton was a member of the Labor & Employment Law Department and represented management in a wide variety of labor and employment law matters. In 2001, Mr. Teuton left O'Melveny and joined Payne & Fears LLP, where he continued to represent management in labor and employment law matters.
In early 2003, Mr. Teuton formed The Law Offices of Mark C. Teuton. He formed Teuton, Loewy & Parker LLP in early 2004 when he was joined by two of his former O'Melveny colleagues, Robert G. Loewy and Kenneth G. Parker.
